Is the USD 1 charge per month?

No. USD 1 is the total for the first 90 days of Plus. Before that period ends we show the standard monthly amount and the exact renewal date, and you agree to it before anything else is charged.

What happens to my data if I go back to Free?

Everything you already saved stays readable, downloadable and deletable. You keep one Agent connection and choose which one. Files above the Free allowance are never deleted; you simply stop adding new ones.

Do I have to remember to cancel?

No. If you stop using MemoMe we send a check-in at 45 quiet days and a billing notice at 60. At the next renewal paid billing pauses on its own and the account becomes read-only.

Is anything about security only in the paid plans?

No. Encryption, multi-factor login, recovery codes, device and session revocation, and export and deletion are the same on every plan, including Free.
